Announcements
2/15/10
First and foremost, I want to thank all of you for your dedication to ensuring that your scholar has this opportunity to travel abroad (even if they may of slacked off on doing their share sometimes) Believe it or not, we are approaching 30 days to departure and it is time to began final preparation for our March 27th departure. Below are a few announcements and reminders
NEXT MEETING
MONDAY, MARCH 8TH AT 7:30PM
RM 425
I am asking that all parents bring their scholars with them. This will be the LAST meeting before out final check in meeting on the 25th of March. It is VITAL that all parents are in attendance. At this meeting you will:
- Receive a packing checklist of must haves and suggested items.
- Receive all finalize information on transportation to and from the airport as well as tips, etc.
- Go through a virtual itinerary with myself and the Student Japan Cluster Chairman
- Provide me with any food allergies, dietary issues and or health concerns.
BAKE SALES
Our plan is to continue bake sales tuesdays and thursdays for the first 3 weeks in March (6 total). I am asking parents to continue to donate goods.
PASSPORTS
I only have copies of five of the 8 student passports. For those parents who have not submitted a copy, please do so A.S.A.P. If you are still waiting for your scholars passport to come in, just let me know. I MUST have a copy of all passports before we board the flight on the 27th.
TAX DEDUCTIBLE FORMS
Some of you have been asking about the tax deductible form for individuals who have donated to your scholars trip. I have them available, but I cannot send them soft copy. Anyone who needs those forms should contact me A.S.A.P so I can arrange to have them send home completed with your scholar.

Greeting to all UAAHC Abroad Travelers and Families,
The school year is off to a fast start...the same with be the case for our fundraising efforts. We have 191 days until departure and I am VERY excited to get in as much fundraising and culture/language immersion in as possible. Below are a few announcements about fundraising, meeting times, etc. If you have ANY questions at all, as always feel free to contact me.
Group Fundraising
We will start bake sales next Wednesday (September 23rd). Only travelers who donate to the sales may receive a cut of the profiles. We will be doing bake sales EVERY Wednesday until the trip.
Individual Fundraising
Many of you took the individual donation sheets. If anyone needs more, please let me know. If anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, please let me know.
Summer Payments
Thank you to all of the traveler families who made payments over the summer. It is my understanding that some individuals had trouble using the online system. If you were unable to send in your summer payments, you MUST either send a check to me, or call customer service A.S.A.P.
Travelers Meeting
For the remaining six months until departure, I would like to have a meeting once a month to go over items in person. The possible meeting days are:
- 2nd Thursday of each month (6pm)
- 2nd Tuesday of each month (6pm)
- 2nd Saturday of each month (12 noon)
