Announcements
First and foremost I want to thank you for the patience that you and the other parents of the UAAHC Aboard Program have exercised during this change in destination. I did not want to email you until I had the most up to date information possible. Below are some announcements and information that pertains directly to you and your traveler. As always, please call me if you have any questions.

1. Change of Location and Date
As you know, our new travel destination is Peru. We are excited to be able to offer an international experience such as this one. Attach is the itinerary for this trip. Please feel free to review. During our first parent meeting on March 17th, we will be going through it in detail.

2. Fundraising
As a group, our fundraising has not been what I have hoped. I order to bring down cost of this trip, the only way to make it happen is to fundraise. The following fundraisers are available:
  • Bake Sales: Bakes sales will occur Monday-Friday. Students that bring in goods can have them sold during lunch. Bake sales will happen as long as we have goods to sell. Items in high demand are brownies, muffins, cakes, and juices. Please send your travelers with goods on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • Spring Time Raffle Time: Next week Wednesday will start another raffle to support your students going aboard. Look out for that information.
  • Donation Sheets: Next week (Wednesday), expect your travelers to come home with additional donation sheets. You may use these donation sheets to collect funds at your will. please let anyone donating know that there donation is tax deductible.

3. First Parent Meeting

OUR FIRST PARENT MEETING WILL BE MARCH 17TH @7PM. THIS IS ALSO PARENT/TEACHER NIGHT, SO MY HOPE IS THAT YOU CAN ALL KILL TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE.

46 DAYS UNTIL DEPARTURE!!!

Passports
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE PUT IN THE PAPERWORK FOR YOUR PASSPORT.  PASSPORTS WILL BE DUE THE 15TH OF JANUARY

Payments
Please make it a priority to be making monthly payments.  The amount doesn’t matter (we suggest a minimum of $150) but what does matter is that you are paying into your scholar’s trip.  You can make payments thought me by money order or direct to the tour company via debit or credit card.

 UAP Website
Please encourage family and friends to visit our website, leave notes and of course make donations. Family and friends can use it to make a donations through Paypal.

Cluster Meetings
All scholar travelers will be required to attend cluster meetings (Wednesdays during lunch). In these meetings scholars will:

  • Be introduced to Egyptian culture and customs.
  • Plan fundraisers

Fundraising
The following fundraisers are now in play:

 1.     Bake Sales
We will have bake sales every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Be feel free to bring in goods Monday-Thursday.

 2. Holiday Raffle
Included in this mailing is the information (flyer) for our Holiday raffle as well as the tickets.  Please read the attached letter for further details.

 3. Cookie Dough Sale
We have the chance to sell cookie dough for the holiday season.  In order to make a profit, we would need to sale a significant amount of cookie dough.  It would require that most of the parents opt into this fundraiser and sell at least 10 buckets of cookie dough. COOKIE DOUGH SHEETS ARE DUE BY JANUARY 5TH
